The last few years we've had an annual "Family Get Together", and its that time again... and youre invited! This is a very important fundraiser for CM, as we prepare to move into 2015 in just a few months... but it is mainly a time of fellowship where our friends, supporters, and listeners can get together, get to know each other, be updated on whats happened at CM in the last year - and most importantly just have a great time! And there is no cost for the event... so whether or not you can support CM, we want you to come fellowship with us!
Our speaker is Dick Scott, long time missionary to Panama. Dick has also been, among other things, the president of LIFE Pacific Bible College and a long time Pastor. When you hear Pastor Ron refer to a man who traveled with him to many foreign countries and ate all the things he didnt want to eat, that's Dick! Dick recently completed translating the entire Bible into the Choco language - which in and of itself is amazing, but the REALLY amazing part is that when they started, the Choco has NO WRITTEN LANGUAGE. So Dick had to create one for them, then tanslate the Bible into it! So he has an amazing story.
We will also have a time of dessert and fellowship, sing a few songs, and we'll update everyone on where CM is going into 2015. There is no cost for the dinner, we just ask that if the Lord leads, you would consider supporting us going into 2015.
There will also be a very special gift for everyone in attendance... thats what we call "a teaser"!
There are two events, and you are welcome to attend either, or both - but the content will be the same, just different locations for everyones convenience. Here are the details:
- October 9th at Beaverton Foursquare Church, located at 13565 SW Walker Rd in Beaverton. The event is at 7:00pm, and will be located in the "Youth Building" which is on your left as you come in the main entrance.
- October 12th, in recognition of the amazing support we've received from north of the river the ladt few years, we'll be having a second event in downtown Vancouver. Space for the second event is somewhat limited, so you will need to RSVP for the location, but it is right downtown. The time for that will be Sunday night at 6:00pm
