The Love of God
"'Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.'
- God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.
- Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved Me, and believed that I came out from God.
- We love Him, because He first loved us. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. God who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.
- He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me; and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Whom the Lord loveth He correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. His banner over me is Love.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
